Student of the Month – James Aitken
Congratulations to James Aitken for being selected as this editions Fireball Player of the Month. James has had an awesome 2016, transforming his tennis from a local level club player to now a tennis tournament player with a super exciting tennis future ahead of him. In the past month alone, James has became a Tennis Australia Nationally ranked player, won the North Eastern Junior Tennis Association Tournament, won the Fireball Solinco All Stars Junior Boys Tournament, and been selected to go to Hobart as part of Fireball’s Elite Tournament Team Trip! The key behind James’s rapid success has been his improved mental strength with his tennis and the ability to compete no matter the score line, and also his strong work ethic and attitude on the practice court. James is a perfect example to any player wanting to achieve tournament success with their tennis, that with the right attitude and actions, anything is possible. James has also made some great technique improvements, including new service grip and swing, and changes to his one handed backhand swing. In term four we will be focusing on improving James physical parts to his tennis (improved core function, stronger legs, and flexibility) all essential requirements needed to be successful in tennis tournaments. James’s current weekly Fireball program includes, two weekly private lessons and two Fireball Elite Tournament Team Squads. Keep up the awesome work James it is a privilege to be part of your tennis journey!
